Sorry CG, I skimmed your question and responded in haste. I wouldn't ever pay for a pup that is a puppy mill pup or a designer dog. I love Yorkies, but I don't have a purebred. My Brutus has been a gift of happiness to my family, so does it matter now where he came from? This is my first experience with any type of baby. I was just asking the OP if being a purebred yorkie was a definate must, because it not - there are options and doing a rescue or searching shelters is positive. Just my opinion.
