He is such a cutie. He needs a good food that has the omega oils in it for his coat. Like someone else said....the best quality food you can give him will improve his coat and his health in general. I believe in feeding a more natural diet. He may have some oily skin that is causing his fur to get messy looking so quickly. Maybe only use conditioner on his ends or where he tangles the most. As his health and diet improve his coat will also. The omega oils are so important and will help the skin become normal and not be so very oily. Sometimes if the shampoo you used dries out the skin it causes the skin to let out extra oil to compensate for the lost moisture from the soap in the shampoo.
I don't know if someone mentioned that there are some grooming videos in the grooming part of this forum under the sticky area.
I am so glad you rescued this sweet fella from such an awful life. That is what is most important. Would love to hear how he does as his life with you goes on. |
