I just had to take Tallulah to the vet Saturday because she was scratching so much. She gets regular flea treatment and neither I nor the vet found any sign of fleas on her. But she did have very dry skin, and the vet suggested a hot oil treatment for her. Problem solved!
BTW - the dry skin started just a few days after we turned the heater on, and Tallulah loves to run back and forth in front of the vent when the heater is running, so I was not terribly surprised. I will be bathing her only when she really needs it and putting a nice conditioner on her afterward until the weather turns warm again. |
