Default re: iNtElLiGeNt, but any ideas on brushing teeth/signaling potty?

thanks for all ur replies!!! i appreciate that....it does seem to appear that Yorkies have a very high level of intelligence...and that they need alot of stimulation....

i noticed that when Hobo is playing AT TIMES he will IMMEDIATELY stop in the middle of playing and stand completely still...i have BARELY picked up on this 'signal' that he needs to go potty....so last nite it happened again. i am trying to train him to 'go get the leash and bring it to me' when i ask him if he needs to go pee potty. anyway, when he stopped last nite from playing, i said 'what do you want to do?' and he jumped up on me on the couch and all i did was give him a special quizzical look as tho i was questioning him about something and he cocked his little head and turned around and ran for his leash! he actually went and got his leash a 2nd time last nite, but he seldom 'signal's me; i just always try to watch the clock. we haven't had any accidents for a couple of months, but i'd like to get him to actually go to the door with the leash in his mouth!!!

I am trying to train him with brushing teeth as well, which i've only tried a few times. any suggestions on techniques? since last nite went really well, i kept telling him 'Hobo was a good boy; he brushed teeth'....and his little tail just wagged and wagged. hopefully, he knows he did a good thing!!!

any suggestions would be great!!! THANK YOU!!!
