I'm curious though about the vet's reaction being so lackadaisical what vet did you call?
What vet would advise you note glassy eyes-
if you have a healthy puppy the eyes should be glassy.
I think you should consider another vet who is more proactive in emergency care and want to actually see the pup after a life threatening injury.
Perhaps a member here can give you a referral to a reputable small breed vet in your area.

There was no judgement on the individual but on the choices of the individual in this situation in their own chosen words.

Yes, I could have just said, take you pup to the vet immediately.
However I prefer raw, reality at times I think it's the only thing that get through to some people.
Sorry I don't candy coat, especially at the expense of a puppy's well being.
Amazing to me is how people get so offended by my words (look for your pup to possibly suffer and then die if you fail to seek medical attention for it) but not the care of a helpless animal being postponed for internet research while the pup is appearing, dazed & paralyzed.
