Did you listen to the different cough sounds in the YT Library? If you are sure it is reverse sneezing (esp. if a finger over his nose stops it), then you probably aren't risking too much to wait. If you aren't sure, then it probably shouldn't wait.
Different schools of thought on the intranasal vs. injectable. It wasn't wrong to give it. Maybe the injectable would be a better choice from now on though. If I were giving it to my dogs, they would probably get one dose of the IN, then boosted with the injectable, then given the injectable every 6-12 months. But that said, I don't like it and try to avoid.
