Thank you for your response. I do have to say, that the tear stain thing is a deffinate turn off to me even if you constantly clean them, it can still be a problem. I guess I have to say the biggest thing that has me thinking about getting a Maltese is that they are hypoallergenic and they don't have a "doggy" smell. Other then that, I am leaning towards the Yorkie, but I still can't be sure...I'll have to keep on researching and hopefully recieve more responses to this post
