Poppy has always gobbled her food so fast without chewing. Sometimes she used to be sick with 5 minutes of eating bringing up whole batches of unchewed food.
I bought her one of the bowls mentioned earlier with the rubber prongs in it and it has slowed her down by about half a minute, LOL!
If your really worried that Bella will make herself ill why don't you hand feed her for a while, then you control how long she takes to eat. Ive also noticed that if I hand feed Poppy she crunches the food properly piece by piece so it may be worth a try. |
