there was something on the radio about how people were not buying candy to handout. Times are very tough and people have to cut corners where they can. In the past we have spent a LOT on candy.. this year I have purchased two bags... that is it .. then lights out.
I don't have anything against you all having fun, a party or event like that. I think it is the expecting free treats that I question. I used to LOVE Halloween, I dressed up for Halloween until just a few years ago. I either dressed for school (I am a teacher) or a private party, or to an event that I took my girls to. I always made the most elaborate costumes for them until middle school (then they wanted to make their own

I really understand having fun, and I guess the age of going door to door is regional. If someone came to may door that I knew was over ..say.. 15 ..I would NOT give them candy!! I would not think too well of them.
At 21 you are an adult... going door to door is for CHILDREN .. at least where I live.
