My vet was totally thrilled with my dog's weight. He's 17 weeks old and weighs 5 1/4 pounds. He said it is so refreshing to see such a healthy - normal sized little guy. And he went on to read off a list of serious problems he encouters daily with tiny little dogs....He said "It is criminal to breed a Yorkie that weighs less than 5 pounds" adding "People just don't see what I see."

He said that Yorkie breeders aren't the only people who do this. It is being done with a lot of other small breeds as well.

I would hope that your little gets up to at least 5 pounds. He has such a better chance for a long healthy life if he does. So please - don't want or hope for a very tiny little guy!

PS: I can't believe that your breeder bred two such small little dogs - shame on her!
