Thanks again for all the kind posts. We are all feeling much better today. His swelling is already down some, and he seems to know that he is not supposed to lick his wounds (or he will get his collar back on
). What a smart little boy he is. Last night we could not sleep he was crying so much. He usually sleeps on our bed, but we had to lock him in his crate, which we never use, just so he would not take the doggy steps which his sister still needs to use. His crying was bad, and at the right frequency, so that it went straight though my earplugs. Tonight we will sleep on the floor next to him and I am sure we will all get a much better night's sleep.
The owner of the Corgi that attacked him came over today and was really nice, asking for our contact information so that her insurance could contact us. We would be very suprised, shocked even if she were not sincere about about feeling terrible about what happened to our boy. We showed her his tummy and she was so sorry. I did not press charges and am sure that was the right discission.
