It's the hardest point when it's just long enough to poke them in the eye but not long enough to lay down. I'll admit I cut Uni's out of frustration before, but eventually I let it grow out. It lays down for the most part, but since her hair is so fine it does tend to break easily, then that part will be broken, usually at the part when I clip it.

Now Chloe and Smokey's had their's cut short and I'm growing it out. Their's are fanning out, and it looks so cute. Kind of like Dexter's hair cut, minus the long flowing ear hair.

I use Pet Silk Top Knot gel and that also helps to kind of "glue" down the hair. I always was afraid of trimming the eye hair, having the scissors so close to the eye ball.=/
