The general yorkie rule is to triple the 8 week weight and you said your new baby is 9 weeks.
18.24 * 3 / 16 = 3.42 pounds at maturity give or take a little bit, therefore 3 pounds 6.72 ounces.
Carter is 3.6# full grown and he is quite small.
What usually makes a yorkie appear larger or smaller is their body composition . . . short square body or long legs and long body.
While Cooper is 3.5#, he is longer legged but shorter bodied than Carter and looks smaller.
You can never tell! Weight isn't all that important . . . I hope you end up with the "look" that you like more than the perfect weight. |
I cannot for the life of me understand this conversion. can you explain it to me. I am confused. I know I am missing something. I know a pound is 16 ounces. Right? RIGHT? LOL
