Belle has never had the hair trimmed near her eyes and it lays flat nicely. Actually, she's never had a haircut other than tipping her ears and trimming near her backside. I don't trust groomers after hearing all of the horror stories on YT, and prefer the look of a full coat. Luckily, Belle has a slow growing silk coat
Just be patient with growing the hair out near her eyes, once it gets long enough it will lay flat and you won't have to worry about it
