I agree to definitely file a police report AND with the animal control officer. One thing i have always learned is to always have a paper trail!!! You need it documented!

Make sure that you do everything in your power to make sure the corgi's owner has to pay for what their dog did. You were being responsible walking your dog on a leash, and you should not have to pay for what their dog did
I hope everything goes well with the surgery and Gatsby starts healing up soon... We will be thinking of him!
