I think you´re suppsed to messure from shoulder to tail.Lady is my oldest yorkie (17 months) and she is almost 9 inches from shoulder to tail,and Jess is my youngest yorkie (1 year) and she is 14 inches from shoulder to tail.They are both long bodied,although Lady has very long legs whilst Jessies legs are very short.
