I would be glad to send you some of the I/D food to sample if you would like. Just PM me. I have can and dry both. I am just not sure if it has chicken in it or not. But we could find out. It really has worked for Rosie. Also, do not give treats or anything else. I do understand your frustrations. I don't know anything about the Zantac. Hopefully someone here will have some experience with that as well. It will be very important that the pup does not get dehydrated. Is Harley drinking water? Keep a check on his gums to make sure. Again, I am so sorry. I would start looking for a new vet ASAP!
Yes he's drinking, gums are good. I also have a bottle of pediatric electrolytes which I offer him to drink if he doesn't drink them I syringe them when he's sick so that he also gets other good stuff for him. Just gave a dose of Hi-Cal too. He just got up looking for food, so in an hour I may offer simple rice.

I think I can buy the science diet at a vet down the road (one I don't use), but I'm pretty sure the ID has chicken, or something from chicken in it. I was considering one of their other diets, but there are so many to choose I've narrowed it down to three, and can't tell which is best for him. I've been asking around about this vet clinic and have heard very mixed reviews. I'm considering this as a possible new vet, but am unsure so far. I figure if they sell the food at least they should be able to tell me which to pick.
