What an adorable boy and good luck with him. I brought my Romeo home at 10 weeks old and the little stinker stopped eating "his" food after two weeks. I too tried several brands and he turned away from everyone. Romeo's been with me for 26 months now and you could say he eats human food. I usually bake chicken, steak, salmon for him and mix with a tiny bit of brown rice. He also likes raw vegetables and fruits so I keep these on hand and he will "snack" on these throughout the day.
