I know I have told this before, but.....my Father (deceased) was British and had a little dog that he carried around when there was gravel because it had such litttle feet and he didn't want her down on the rough ground. Someone said to him one time, "You need to tell that thing that she is a dog", and my Father, without missing a beat, said "t Tell her she's dog? We haven't even told her she's adopted".
