We take Sophie with us where ever we go in the U.S. but we go out of the country on vacation for two weeks each year where Sophie can't go. We could not bring ourselves to actually board Sophie but we found another alternative by having Sophie's groomer take her home with her where she has run of the house along with our groomer's Chi. They love to play together. Sophie sleeps at the foot of her daughter's bed after she is read a bedtime story
. It gives us peace of mind because she knows, likes and trusts her groomer and we are only charged ten dollars a day, too. I still miss her terribly until we pick her up and email the groomer almost everyday we're gone just to check on Sophie though
. We tell Sophie she is going on vacation, too
