It's amazing how they capture our hearts, huh? I always thought the same thing "OH, I'll just board him". Nope, never have and I never will unless I REALLY have to. However, I am lucky that I have family willing to watch him. If I absolutely HAD to board, I would find a top notch place that I really trusted. Some dogs are fine with boarding, though. I just know Jackson would be one to freak out.

But if Brutus is a happy friendly little guy, it probably wouldn't be an issue. You can find a responsible, clean place and go and tour, etc, and make you feel more comfortable.

Me, personally, I would opt to have someone watch him in my home, just because I know that is where he is more comfortable. But I do understand not everyone is comfortable with it. But if you find a place that is bonded and insured, etc. It shouldn't be a problem.

Either way, good luck with your decision! I have shortened some trips and cancelled some because I did not wanna leave my boy.
