Please be very careful while she is in heat. Even the gate is not enough to keep them separated because when there is a will there is a way. You cannot allow them together not for one minute. If the cost of the spay ($350) is too high you might look into low cost spay/neuter clinics in your area. Many times a vet will remove retained puppy teeth free of charge....mine did.
