Just one more thing... she's in a new home and has a new playmate (whether he likes it or not!), so she may just get caught up with playing and forget that she does need some down time. What are your sleeping arrangements? If she won't go to sleep because she's too busy, I would force her to have some alone time, and like babies they'll just go to sleep. We had Olivia sleep in her crate for the first few months we had her home. We put a blanket over the front of the crate so that she wouldn't see movements and be stimulated. If she hasn't been in a crate before, her first few times will definitely involve some crying, probably a lot of crying, but don't take her out. (She'll probably cry bloody murder, but she's fine, just trying to get your attention!) I would try the crate thing at night for at least a few weeks until she begins to realize that she has to go by your schedule. |
