People are just rude sometimes.

When I purchased my Yorkie, I was looking for a puppy that would grow to be an avaerage size.. maybe 5 to 7 pounds. Everyone I called that had puppies available "claimed" that their puppies would only be 3 -4 pounds when grown. So I kept looking.. I found Paisley, who's parents were the 5 and 7 pounds range and hopefully she will be too. If she's bigger or smaller, I'll still love her the same.

...and if I had a Boxer, I would prefer the smaller size. It's not like they are a breed that you expect to be big, like you would a Mastiff, a Great Dane or St. bernard or something.

Actually I just looked at AKC standards for the Boxer and while it says average height at whithers is 21 3/4 - 25 inches... it also says " Proper balance and quality in the individual should be of primary importance since there is no size disqualification."

You could have told the lady.... "Oh I'm sorry your dog is so big, must be why you can't bring him with you because he's too big!"
