He is wrong. You are right. When my Mom comes down for the winter the Yorkies are so happy to see her. Mom is a diabetic. When her suger goes high Gracie starts licking her arms or legs and whines. We check and it is very high. Rubin also does this but he also alerts us when it goes too low. They have not been trained in any way for this, they can tell. So far they have never been wrong.
