Harley is an only doggie, but has been since he was brought home.
I have however had experience taking a horse to my house without any other horses present. My first horse Tex, spent much of his early life in herds and rather neglected in fields. He spent a month at my coach's place until my barn was built. He spent about 3 days in his new home, at the corner of his field staring down the road whinnying for friends. He was alone for 6 months before horse #2 arrived, and he coped since he realized that I would be there any waking moment I wasn't in school. He even started wait for me at the corner of his field for me to get off the bus. He never whinnyed again until another horse came on the property.
So that being said, I would try to find ways for your baby to have friends when you're not around. If you're working see if you can find a friend with a single dog who could watch yours, and then offer to take theirs when they're not around.

Glad you get your baby back, quarantine issues suck.
