So sorry to hear about Nika. They were all vaccinated and the worm was tapeworm. My vet called with Leo's results yesterday afternoon and said he had clostridium. I guess it's a bacteria overgrowth that causes diarrhea. It's treated with antibiotics. He said he's still not sure if this is what Rusty had or not. From what I've read on my own, it appears to be contagious. Dogs can also get it from drinking out of mud puddles. |
