Any idea why her ears are shaved at the tip? I noticed her ears were floppy when I met her, yet in her pics they are standing.
also... every time i see someone say "beatrice" i have to laugh because when i am grouchy that's my husbands nickname for me haha... "goodmorning to you too beatrice" or "are we bringing our the inner beatrice today?" always makes me laugh actually. however, you're beatrice is a cutie! looked like your dog had rollers in that first pic?? |
Usually we shave the tips of the ears, just an aesthetic thing more than anything. Breeders usually shave their puppies ears when they are very young to help the ears stand up.
That's funny about the name "Beatrice" I think it comes with attitude LOL It really suits my girl that's for sure.
The things that look like rollers are called wraps , they are basically deli wraps and we use them to protect the very long coats of the show dogs. They keep the hair clean and from tangling ,so the show dogs can run around and play and not be one big matt. Also keeps the food out the their hair when they eat, and keeps them from chewing off their mustaches when they are chewing bones etc.
