Buster Brown, Thank you so much for the kind words. When Mike was released from the rehab, They delivered a lift to help with getting him in and out of bed. It will not allow me to put him in the cars front seat. We tried that when they released him to me at the rehab, They said, they were unable to help me put him in the car. I did everything I could think of to get him in that van. It is almost impossible to put a full grown man that can not stand on his legs in a van with no help. I worked on trying to get him to stand for over an hour, I pulled him up, and He fell and I caught him with my knee. That is when I went back in and said, Okay you all either get me a lift or I am bringing him back in here and I am going home. They then brought the lift out and assisted me in getting Mike on the back floor of the mini van, for the 45 min drive home. I had to pull his legs out of the van once home, put the lift sling on, pump him up, and into the wheel chair then push him into the house lifted him back up and into bed.I asked them if they could help me get him in the van when I first got there to pick Mike up.That is when they said, they could not because they would be responable if he fell, I said you mean like when he fell out of the bed when you asked him to get up on his own ? That kind of fall... They did not know what to say. They even had the nerve to blame that on Mike also. What a nightmare. He stood for about 15 seconds today and turned and sat in his wheelchair. What a big improvement. He has been home for 3 weeks yesterday and they had him for 68 days and he was able to stand and transfer when he went in there. It makes no since. Thanks so much
