I wish both worked for us.. I tried.. but my Taycie was associating her soft pad with her blankets so she started to go potty on her blankets.

I had to get rid of the pads. But I still needed a solution during the day sometimes because I couldn't make her hold it.

So I made a potty box! I bought a under the bed storage container, some soil, and sod and tada! I had a potty box! I have to replace the sod every 5 months or so, because eventually the urine kills it.. but I can't complain.. it is like 3 bucks for sod. I just take it outside when I am not using it and when I do need it I bring it in!

She uses it when I am gone and I love it. Other then that she always goes outside.
