When we first got Lola, we were all for pad training. It was going well minus the occasional accidnet of peeing on the rug. She was always goign to her pad for #2.
We got her at 3 months old. Did this for a good month. I started to think it would be good for her to get outside a few times a day to see if she would go. She did, and i was happy.
SO i started to take her out when she woke up, she would pee and poop. Good girl. Weekdays i leave her in our kitchen and front hallway area which is blocked off by her play pen with one end open and one closed. She has two pads on trays that during the day she uses when needed...when we get home there is always pee pee on them. no where else.
When my fiance gets home he takes her outside; she goes pee pee and sometimes #2. Rest of the night we will take her out a few more times and once before bed. On weekends she is always with me and i take her out non stop, usually dont let her rely on the pad.
MY QUESTION IS THIS:
am i confusing her by doing both? she i leave no pad during the dya when i am gone for a good 8 hours? is she going to be confused? i would like to haev her always go outside but i dont think she can hold it all day while we are gone if she is not in the crate (and i want to give her some freedom in her current set up to be able to go if needed)
