Sorry to disappoint you, but it really does depend on the dogs personality. Some dogs just love to work for you. With service dogs, trained observers can see differences almost from birth. Some dogs are smarter than others, just like people. I have found the easiest dogs to train are usually the follower type . Not the most dominate in the litter, who is first at everything, and not the shy I worry a lot kind. I also think some breeds are easier to train in general. I do think neutered males are easier to train, than males who are not.
