My Chloe has the very same problem! I try to do all I can to get her to play during the day. She seems to be less aggressive during the day and wants to be lazy, but come 8 pm she's a live wire. My husband and I both aggressively play with her for a couple hours to get her to use up some of that energy.

She would get to where she would bark all night, and I'd get up with her because my husband has to have his rest for his long days at work. This got old fast, so I started putting her to bed and either sitting and watching her or laying in bed where I could see her crate.

Everytime she whined or barked I would say NO.....and tell her to go night night....after a few nights of this...we can now put her to bed on our schedule and if she fights it a little I tell her to go to sleep and she goes.
