I remember many fond memories of playing in the rain, and my grandparents would get mad at us too. I think they were more mad they had to do more laundry.

Are you more mad at the mom or the fact your brand new car got wet and your son's new sneakers were ruined? They're just things. I'm sure you son will remember this as a fun experience, and maybe will be closer with these friends now.

Playdate term is a little outdated too. When I read the title I thought a yorkie playdate in the rain. Now if that were the case I'd be pissed. But then again, if Uni went on a playdate, I'd be there
