My son and his friends played out in the rain every chance they got if they were together. Some of my favorite memories are of all of them soaked through and having a blast. I could definitely be wrong, but unless it was REALLY cold, I don't think you can get sick from being outside in the rain, or from cooler temps, if that sets your mind at ease any.
To me it sounds like the kind of fun memories are made of.  |
When he got into my car he was shivering and his finger tips were prunes!!! I bet he had a ball out there. but it is not the point. I never ever thought that any sane mother with connected brain cells would let children who she has never met come over to play for the first time and let them outside in the rain. Maybe she doesn't use the word NO very often. This is just not normal behavior. It's freaking raining!!
I wouldn't let the dogs play out there and get soaked!!! Why should my kid be out there getting soaked.?? I didn't know he was in the rain all that time, we are talking 2 and a half hours. I pick him up with my brand new 2 week old car and he is soaking wet. I just don't get it!!
These are also not his buddies who he plays with all the time and they go to each others house and play all the time.
