Ok my 12 yr old, soon to be 13 yr old (next Wed 28th) son calls me from school and asks me if he can go home with a friend and hang out. I asked if the kids mother was home and if the kid asked her. He said yes and I told him to call me when he gets there. So he calls me when he gets there and I tell him I will pick him up at 5:00. I call him at 4:45 and tell him to wait by the door of the house so I don't pass the house. He tells me that him and the other boys are outside. IT'S POURING!!! I say but its raining and he says yeah we've been out here. Mind you he has his school clothes on and his brand new school sneakers. I pick him up .... he is soaked... The mother is in the garage and just waves to me and I wave back.
My son doesn't have too many friends and I didn't want to make a "thing" out of it but I am pi$$ed. Silly me to assume that they were inside playing video games because this is his favorite passtime.
I could not imagine having my kids friends over to play and sending them home soaking wet because they were playing basketball in the street in the rain!!!
I fuming! Now I have to, I guess, put his brand new Nikes in the dryer. And I have to hope he doesn't get sick. WTF???
