If this pup lives in my area, I'll gladly give info to my vet who is very used to dealing with these types of things.
I always suggest to ppl to call a vet's office and fill them out on how they would handle the situation before bothering to go there and getting such a laid back response and lack of concern on the vet's part!
It's also nice to build a relationship with your vet's office. I ALWAYS take the girls out front something around the holidays, etc. This helps you in your time of need as well. My vet is one who fixes the problem at hand and never mentions money until it's all said and done. If you can't pay, they work with you! They are more about saving lives there! I know there has to be more vets out there like this as well.
