No, they reacted to the words resistant bacteria. The problem is that people do not understand that there is a difference between exposure and infection. I am still not clear on what has infected her. She had many bacteria and she is improving so there is a possibility she was not infected with something resistant. The immune systems of dogs and people prevent infections every day....just because a bacteria is present does not always mean it is a problem. I just said too much I guess. It was not anyone here PMing me..I received two emails, one from a person who had applied to adopt (quite a few people have). We are nowhere near considering adoption because we don't know how she will be once well; but for people to pull out without even know what is up is bothersome to me. It tells me that I said too much. That is not fair to Summer. Makes me sad. IF there were, in the end, going to be a problem with Summer being around other dogs or people, that would be disclosed. Again, it would not have come up had I kept some information to myself.
