it's no wonder people keep using the term "teacup" left and right as if it's an official description of a small dog. i was just at petsmart yesterday, they had a shelter area where you can see dogs and cats available for adoption. well they had a toy poodle puppy yesterday that everyone was going goo-goo-ga-ga over. very cute little thing.

well, the cashier called it a teacup, the shelter personnel called it a teacup, the restocker employee called it a teacup, the receptionist at banfield called it a teacup, the nutro pet food rep present called it a teacup, other shoppers called it a teacup.... i think my eyes rolled so far back to the top of my head i was looking at the back of my head. someone was actually explaining to me, when i commented that it was a "toy poodle", that it was "smaller than a 'toy poodle' because it was a 'teacup poodle' ". i had to bite my tongue. bleh.

meanwhile, i'm walking my "big boy" around the store...afterall, he's a whole 4.5 lbs!
