Just like when my little brother drowned at a country club pool... it was THEIR management, it was THEIR lifeguards, the way they ran a business. I would not go around boycotting all pools because some are run very nicely with adequate training, management, etc.
My local Petco is fine... all the employees are always friendly and helpful, the training classes seem to get good reviews, it's obviously managed okay. This one wasn't. So I will still be shopping at Petco mainly because that is where the food that Jackson eats is sold and I haven't seen it anywhere else yet, either. | First of all, please let me say I am very, very sorry for your loss. I don't believe this is a valid comparison, however. Petco is part of a large corporation. This particular store isn't a single business being run by one store manager who makes all the decisions. The corporation sets policies all Petco stores are required to follow. All Petco stores are company owned and operated. Their corporation has a duty to protect all living creatures in their care, whether they're employees or animals. This is why I firmly believe they should be boycotted. |
