Default Adopted 5.5 year old Jesse from his owner/breeder

Hi my name is Kristina and I live in CT. I just adopted a 5.5 year old Yorkie on Sunday and my husband and I are still trying to figure out all his needs. We bought the same food his previous owner used but he seems to anybody his nose at it. I ha e emailed her to find out if she adds anything else to their food normally. Tonight he was barking g at us bit we couldn't figure out why and we took him outside multiple times and he still hasn't pooped. We think he might have separation anxiety.

We also have a roommate that comes home after midnight long after we have gone to sleep. He fends to watch TV in the living room where the crate is. Would it help the dog if I put a blanket over the crate at night? Or would the TV still wake him up? I feel bad that he is having to change homes after spending all his tine since birth with one family surrounded by other dogs so I want to make him comfortable.

I hope he comes to love me, my husband and our home. I have attached a picture of him after he decided to steal my blanket for his own bed. I will post more tomorrow when I can make them smaller as I am posting this from my Verizon Motorola Droid X 2 and I am not sure how to shrink the photos.

I looks forward to reading through the forums and learning more about my little guy and all of you!!

~Kristina
