Good morning southernbelle04!
Well, we got Harry at 3 months old - and I would say it took another 2 months to get him totally house-trained. We tried using pads - but he thought they were a game of fetch!

So really it was vigilance, and taking him out after all the normal trigger times.
Are you at home all day? It really, really helps if you are!! It's brilliant if you can catch them mid-pee - a sharp 'no', pick him/her up and take them out to the designated place - they're so intelligent, they soon catch on. I must admit, we've been extremely fortunate with Harry - he goes into his crate (in our room, next to our bed) at about 10 p.m, and doesn't wake up or need anything at all until the alarm goes off about 6.30 in the morning.

But he's a 'bigger' Yorkie (about 12 lbs now) so I think that helps?
Just to give you a bit of hope (!!) - we've had a schnauzer, boxers, labradors - and Harry the Yorkie has been by far the easiest to potty train! Good luck! Sally + Harry x
