We have an extremely high bed. My golden and my smaller rat terrier can get in it with no problem but Ferg's is just to short to jump that high. I don't encourage them to be in the bed freely but do let them in it while we're watching TV at night before bed. I will put Ferg's in the bed and then put her on the floor.

Well, the other day she jumped OUT of the bed and I almost had a heart attack. Told her NO and that she can't jump out when she wants to.

Well, this morning Tudie (terrier) jumped in the bed while I was dressing and Ferg's decided to go for broke and gave it everything she had. She didn't make it, hit the wood footboard and then fell back to the ground and hit the dog crate at the foot of the bed. She's ok, and shook it off like a champ but boy, was I worried about her.
