Default Breeder first; Puppy second

You are wise to be coming here and asking for recommendations on breeders. It has been said here many times, find your breeder first and then your puppy. Your breeder is criticial. They will be someone that you should be able to turn to with questions and knowledgable of the breed to answer them. Also, your breeder needs to be commited to the health of their dogs as well as understanding the lines they are breeding.

An excellent breeder in Ohio is Jala Yorkshire Terriers (Jalayorkies.com). They are in northeast Ohio so they might be close to you. They are a mom and daughter team and very knowledgable of the breed.... not to mention theirs dogs are a beautiful representation of the breed. You just want to be sure to find a breeder that will be there for you tomorrow, raises healthy socialized puppies and cares about the right match of puppy and owner. Be patient and you will be rewarded with many years of yorkie kisses.

Good luck with your search and welcome to Yorkie Talk.
