 Acepromazine
The vet gave me Acepromazine to give Buster for an upcoming ten hour car trip. Buster is five pounds (give or take). He cut the 10mg pill into eights and suggested that I start with 1/8 and increase to another 1/8 if needed. I gave him 1/8 of the tablet almost three hours ago. He is awake off and on (as is everyone else in the house). He doesn't look like he's in any distress or having any trouble breathing. For some reason I thought Acepromazine would knock him out completely. Articles that i have read online indicate this as well. Has anyone given this to their dog? Is this the reaction I should expect?
