We had a church member die yesterday from severe burns from a candle. She had a candle burning in her bedroom and caught her nightgown on fire and then the mattress on the bed. She had 3rd degree burns on most of her body and never recovered conciousness in the hospital. Also had another lady die in a house fire from a candle in her bedroom. I no longer burn candles anymore. I hear the gel pots are a lot more flammable. Thanks for posting this, people need to be more aware of the dangers. |
