I would get your little one spayed and enjoy her as a delightful pet. These little dogs often require C-sections bc of their size. They have a higher incidence of pregnancy problems than other bigger breeds, which requires more money at the vet. These are an expensive breed as a whole to breed. Plus, her small size definitely sets you up for problems. I have heard they should be at least 5 lb to breed. Maybe some of the breeders could weigh in on this. (I see some already have.) You will need to assist with the whelp. The pups can be born w problems requiring emergency care. Your little girl can even die while birthing from complications.
She sounds like a wonderful little girl, full of personality. I would enjoy her as a pet. |
