I don't think anyone reading your post would think sarcasm!
It really is a dilema and until parents and the kids take full responsibility, I don't know what can be done. There are no repercussions and even if a child is expelled, where will they go? To another school to start all over again with the bad behavior?
I DEFINITELY DON'T want to detract from the awful situation Joran was put into and how scared he must have felt but can you imagine the emotional state of this young girl who wrote the note. I almost pity her. If the adults in charge of her can't even take something like this seriously, what chance does she have of getting help and turning her behaviour around.
