I forgot to ask the vet today when I took Chloe for her shots but I need some help on this one.....

I have been allowing Chloe to chew on raw hide bones. I supervise this and only allow them around her so I can see when one is getting chewed up to the point that it could cause her harm.

Her last visit to the groomer I was told NOT to allow her to chew on one because the pieces get in them and they end up having surgery. The groomer advised me to try the cow's hooves that she sells.

She claimed they were safe and no small bits will get into her body and hurt her. Well I'm no genius but I noticed that the tiny pieces that come off that hoof are ever sharper and harder than the raw hide bone.

I threw the hoof away. At least the raw hide gets moist and sorta melts but this hoof no matter how much she slobbers will not soften up.

Any help, I appreciate. I need to give her a chew toy that is safe.
