I only have one pad down,and,I keep it in the same spot,he has done very well with it,one time when it was thundering and lighting out,he got scared,and went in the bathroom and peed on the rug.Other then that though,Max has done great!I,personally,would have to agree with your husband,regardless of what other people say,I believe,if I limit his pee options to one pad,that he will do better,so far he has.....Just my 2 cents,Good Luck!
